We are very happy to advise that the iconic Uranquinty Folk Festival which has been cancelled for the last two years because of Covid-19 will be back in Uranquinty over the October long weekend from 29 September – 3 October 2022
Uranquinty Folk Festival is a small, family-orientated festival, 12 kilometres south of Wagga Wagga southern NSW. Formed in 1970 by the Wagga Wagga Folk Society, it is one of Australia’s oldest folk festivals. Uranquinty still has the features of a bush experience, log fires, shared meals, craic, camaraderie and a sense of belonging to something very special where you meet up with old friends and make new ones. Most importantly, it has the support of some very fine musicians who understand the importance of maintaining a vibrant people’s culture.
